MELBOURNE, Today: Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Henry Tajer to the role of Sydney-based ceo across Australia and New Zealand, following an extensive global executive search.

SYDNEY, Yesterday: WPP AUNZ has announced that John Gutteridge – formerly the Singapore-based APAC ceo at J. Walter Thompson – is to take on the newly created role of chief executive officer for Wunderman Thompson Australia/NZ.

AUCKLAND, Today: Outdoor Media Association general manager Derek Lindsay has resigned to pursue private projects. OMANZ is now looking for a new GM (scroll down for the link).

AUCKLAND, Today: BC&F Dentsu has appointed Murray Streets to lead the agency as managing director. Streets joins from FCB where he was general manager – integrated strategy, and is taking over the reins from Paul Catmur, who will stay on to be involved with creative output for the agency.

AUCKLAND, Today: Customer intelligence agency Perceptive – part of the Clemenger Group – has appointed Peter Thomson as director of strategy.

AUCKLAND, Thursday: FCB New Zealand has today confirmed the appointment of Paul Shale as ceo – following the sudden exit last July of Don Martin, and Brian van den Hurk, who left in December 2016.

SYDNEY, Friday: Publicis Groupe has announced the appointment of Michael Rebelo as ceo for ANZ, based in Sydney. Rebelo started his career at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney in 1997 and held various agency leadership roles in Vietnam, New Zealand, Singapore, London and Australia across the Saatchi & Saatchi network. In 2017, he was appointed as ceo Publicis Communications in ANZ. 

HAMILTON, Today: KingSt Advertising has hired experienced art director and creative lead James Cleary, who is returning to New Zealand from 10 years in London. Cleary and his family are now putting down roots beside the surf of Raglan.

LONDON, Friday: Matt James has been appointed global brand president at Publicis Groupe media arm Zenith, reporting to Publicis Media ceo Steve King. He will be based at Zenith’s HQ in London.

AUCKLAND, Wednesday: PHD agency Spark PR & Activate has promoted Katie Walton to general manager. Walton replaces Dallas Gurney (now the agency’s managing director).
