
NZ’s two great radio networks – NZME and MediaWorks – pretty much share the honours in the finalists list for the 2015 Radio Awards, just announced. NZME scored 66 finalist spots against MediaWorks’ 63.

Karl Stefanovic, the famously mouthy presenter of Channel 9 Australia’s The Today Show, has ‘apologised’ for Thursday’s show when he branded Kiwis as dole-bludgers with an unhealthy relationship with their farm animals, and Indians as shopkeepers.


Specsavers, Pak n’ Save just keep on keeping on at the top, but this month’s chart features no fewer than five debuts – ICC Cricket World Cup (out of Melbourne), Barnes Catmur & Friends’ Heart Foundation spot, Trivago Berlin, Michael Hill’s big-budget Superbowl spot, and DDB’s Westpac Mr Tinfoil.
